The Saturday tournament on Ferguson was at a bad time due to almost flood stage water levels and  rising water to boot. First place was 20 pounds, an impressive catch for sure under hard conditions, but the catch quickly tapered to 7 – 9 at 11th place. It was won by Matthew Bates who also had the big bass. Lot of 2 pound average catches after the first few places except for one that caught 2 fish that weighed 8 – 1. About half the field of both pros and co-anglers zeroed. My optimistic mind has been trying to talk me into going to Ferguson but I believe I’ll wait.
