Lake Lee Rumor

I heard a rumor that John Eddleman and his nephew (?) caught a nice bunch of bass in Lake Lee (16 or 18). John’s buddy Fred Abide was spilling the beans on him. He told me once about a road that was good at high water. Very vague story, much like this rumor.
Fred accused me of not telling the truth!!! So here is the Truth 1. Davis Causey and I did catch 18 at Lake Lee about 4 weeks ago when the water was falling. I will not divulge the exact loction, but it was at the south end of the lake. (It will be coming up on the 40′ level again soon.) We tied up about Noon at my hotspot and caught 18 on white spinner baits and crank baits. Davis caught the majority of the fish. I managed about 4 or 5 but I did cathch the largest one. They ran from 3 to 3 3/4. On the way in, I caught about a 4ft. water snake by the tail and started to put in Davis’s lap but I decided that he might turn the 12 1/2′ Ghanoe over. Fun Trip!
Mr Eddleman, sounds like a good trip. we need to hook up and fish. I’ll supply the truck and boat, and you can supply the knowledge! Oh, I can promise davis would have sunk the boat if you would have put a snake in his lap!
