Fishing again I hope

It took 10 straight days to get my two turkeys out of the way, after letting one walk on the opening day. Now before another turkey hunting excursion to South Carolina, at least one day of fishing. Mickey and I have one planned. I understand it took 26 pounds to win the tournament in Lake Ferguson this weekend. No word on how it was won but I’d bet the winner was flipping the fuzzy trees. A picture from this morning.
Harley,
Congratulations on a GREAT turkey yesterday and an awesome season at Catfish. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m kind of glad you’re out of the woods now so a young fella like myself might have a chance. Without the restrictions they implemented this year, you’d be hitting your limit in MS and probably AR, too. Maybe one day you can share with me some of your secrets for bringing gobblers in to gun range.
Peter
Peter,
I passed one up on opening day to extend my season because I had a guest
coming. My advice is to go to “Almandville” (35 -37). There is one out in
the cutover that I named Billy Mayes, after the loudmouth pitch guy on TV.
He was gobbling at 6:15 the other morning, so get there early. He will get
the whole crowd down there gobbling. I counted 9 or more different birds.
Duke told us about your second turkey. He said it was a really nice one. Congratulations. We’ll miss you at 5:30 sign-in. Duke killed his second yesterday. He’s wishing he could hunt more. Too wet to farm. Jean and Butler
He should go to SC with Ben. The limit is 5 there.
