Lake Ferguson gator

With Lake Ferguson at 22.1 on the Greenville gauge I was going into the upper lake and came upon a 5 to 6 foot gator just on the upper lake side of the chute. It was not too shy and at one point started moving closer to the boat. There was plenty of time to get the good camera and snap away. On the fishing front things were not very interesting. I managed to catch 10 but they were small.Had a lot of pick ups and put downs. Went to some places where I wore them out last year at the same water stage but nobody home. One place I was especially counting on where I had good luck recently was a complete bust. There are some out there somewhere because the tournament winner this weekend caught 23 pounds and some change.
I knew there had to be a tournament this weekend. Saw more boats in the Chute. More than normal. I guess my 5 biggest would have gone about 18 lbs. or so. I would have finished out of the money, but I had fun.
